Overall, the contact insecticide for drones used in plant protection features a higher droplet density—the smaller the droplet diameter (around 80-100 microns), the better the insecticidal effect. The coverage effect of systemic agent droplets is greater, with a droplet diameter of approximately 120-150 microns. The method for adjusting the pressure nozzle's droplet size involves replacing the nozzle with one of corresponding orifice size, while centrifugal nozzles can regulate droplet diameter via flight control software.

Typically, the timing for pest control in field crops can be freely selected according to the work cycle organization, whereas high-value cash crops require more attention to control efficacy. Customized recommendations may be provided to clients for different pests and diseases during various periods, which, though potentially increasing operational costs, significantly improves control effectiveness while reducing comprehensive expenses. We have achieved excellent results in nocturnal thrips control using this method, with eradication rates exceeding 98%.
